In the garden, and in the forest...a peek at what's in bloom this week on the homestead.
The peonies are blooming! And as is usual, the plant is collapsing under the weight of her own beauty.
The blackberries have flowered, and from the looks of things, have all been pollinated. I think it's going to be an epic blackberry year.
The flame azaleas are out, and lighting up the forest.
The rhododendrons in my front yard have been going off for over a week, and now the rest of the canopy is beginning to bloom.
Between the rhododendron and the mountain laurel, the forest is practically vibrating from all the bees overhead.
My culinary sage, which I basically only grow for the flowers, is huge, fragrant, and full of bees.
Our front meadow is still full of oxeye daisies, and this little one loves picking them for me.
What's blooming in your yard this week?
